Karim has spent more than 1000 hours and flown drones in over 20 countries in a variety of complex environments in the arctic, through forests and cities, and between waves the size of buildings. Karim uses drones to put humans and animals into perspective of the environment that they live, work, and play in. As well as filming for commercial projects, wildlife, landscapes from the air, Karim specializes in filming high speed extreme sports like windsurfing, surfing, and kayaking.  All of the work you see is by Karim as a solo drone operator. This is small look at our world from a bird's eye view.

The Wind - Windsurfing by Drone

The best windsurfers on the planet gathered on Maui, Hawaii for the 2015 Novenove Aloha Classic of the American Windsurfing Tour.

Windsurfing is an incredibly dynamic and difficult sport. Being that it takes place often in windy wavy conditions, it can be difficult to photograph. It is by far the most difficult thing to film aerials of that Karim has encountered. With high winds and massive waves, the scene is constantly shifting and changing. As challenging is it was filming this, it was also the most exciting subject to film.

FIlmed using DJI inspire 1 and DJI Phantom 3
